Commission for NevadaMarie

These are her two characters, who are both a bit broken in their own way. I was trying to portray the edge between dark and light, when morning might break soon and clear all the clouds, but you're still standing on the edge of the abyss somehow.
This has taken me quite some time to get finished, but it has been finished for a while now, I was just waiting for approval on the final result! ^.^
I wrote a bit to go with this, I don't know, I just felt like it needed a tiny smattering of story?

"Oh Bella," he sighed, shaking his head as he studied the fresh wound, "What happened this time?"
He shrugged out of his shirt and held it to the deep cut, trying to slow the bleeding, there wasn't any doubt Bella would make it, she always pulled through. Her scars and shattered face were testament enough to that. She was an incredible horse, considering how her life had gone.
He rubbed at his eyes and looked over her rump to see the sun just starting to peek over the mountains, they were on the brink of a new day. Another new beginning? He sure hoped so.
